2022 is that you?
17 December 2021
Can you believe it’s nearly 2022? Many of us hoped that life would return to normal aka circa 2019 days, but alas things did not. In fact, things got a hell of a lot crazier. We have experienced on and off, then on again..then off again lockdowns, bushfires and hail & wind storms. Donald Trump’s tenure as the 45th president ended and social media giants, Facebook and Instagram stopped working entirely for one morning, I know WILD! What a year it has been.
Despite all the ups and downs and unpredictability of the past year, we hope all you carnivores made the most of it. What we mean when we say this is…
• You ate lots of Jack Link’s
• You tried our new ham jerky
• You built a charcuterie board with jerky AND
• You swapped chips for jerky as your snack in the pantry
No need to fret though, because if you didn’t manage to do all this during 2021 you always have 2022!
Nonetheless, as we look to the future and more of the world starts to open again, we can’t help but think of all the amazing times ahead. Here are some activities we have thought of for you to do this summer.
Throw a big house party!
That’s right, throw yourself a big house party to celebrate freedom, because WHY THE HELL NOT?
Invite all your friends to make up for lost time. Grab some speakers, chuck on a playlist, or even hire a DJ and party all night long. Summer parties are the GOAT!
Travel!
We took travelling for granted pre COVID. However, as boarder restrictions start to ease this summer, it’s time to pack a bag and some jerky and head on over to your favourite destination (given restrictions allow you to do so). Get that tan on!
Go camping!
Revitalize your relationships, away from all the distractions at home and go camping with friends and family. During COVID we were so damn bored that we had nothing else to do but to go on all types of technology. Camping can help you disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature, a refreshing change we all need.
Pitch a tent, chuck some meat on the barbie and open a pack of jerky and enjoy the campfire ambiance for a night or two.
Jack Link’s would like to wish all you carnivores a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
If you’ve been a dedicated Wild Side supporter this year, we see you and we appreciate you, and if you’ve only just jumped on the bandwagon this blog post, we appreciate you too I guess…
Thank you for an awesome year and cheers to the year ahead, we can’t wait for what’s to come.
Ps. New products!!
