Jack Link’s and Glycemic Index

Jack Link’s and Glycemic Index

Jack Link’s amongst many other amazing things, is also a low GI snack.

GI who?! What is that and why should I care?

Well wild carnivores, GI stands for Glycemic Index, which is a relative ranking of carbohydrate in foods according to how they affect blood glucose levels.[1]

Carbohydrates with a low GI value (55 or less) are more slowly digested, absorbed and metabolised and cause a lower and slower rise in blood glucose and insulin levels.[2]

Basically:

1) It takes longer to digest meat snacks.
2) So your body processes and releases the energy more slowly.
3) This results in you feeling fuller for longer with no more sugar crashes!

A low GI diet is a good one because it can help increase mental and physical performance, it also fuels your body with sustainable energy, so you can keep powering through your afternoon of work / pumping iron / embracing your wild side!
