The Suck Knuckle Smokers have been busy at work winning awards and our hearts. Whether you’ve got a sweet tooth or a meat tooth this jerky joy recipe is sure to blow minds.

So what is this concoction of snacking innovation? They call it the jerky joy. And we think that’s a pretty damn fitting name. Sweet & crunchy honey crackle with buttery glazed beef jerky. Need I say more? Here’s how it’s done.

 

The stuff:

100g Butter

1/3cup sugar

2Tbs Honey

50g Jack Links beef jerky

3cups corn flakes

 

Don’t forget to throw another pack of jerky into the mix. Half of baking is waiting and if you’ve gotta wait for something, you may as well get your snack on. 

Now that you got the stuff, here’s how you put it all together.

 

The technique:

– Preheat oven to 150°c

– Line 12 hole patty pan with paper cases.

– Melt butter, sugar, honey and chopped jerky together until frothy.

– Add to corn flakes and mix well.

– Working quickly spoon into patty cases.

– Bake in a slow oven, 150 for 10 mins.

– Cool

 

Cool. You’ve done it mate. You’ve combined the worlds of sweet and meat!
