Suck Knuckle Smokes the Competition
Australian championship BBQ team heats things up at their latest cook-off
Suck Knuckle Smokers returned to their hometown of Adelaide this past weekend to participate in the ‘Up in Smoke’ barbecue competition, and the results were smokin’!

Preparing for the meaty showdown!Â
Judged in creativity, taste and execution, the team spent the weeks leading up to the event focusing on hotdogs and burgers that would impress the judges and taste good at the same time.
The competition featured hotdogs, burgers and steak on Saturday and chicken, pork, beef and lamb on Sunday.
They chose to compete in the traditional ABA BBQ comp, which required them to organise all their meat and gear for the weekend on top of their winning recipes and techniques.

The results are in! Â
Suck Knuckle Smokers aimed for gold and came back with winners in multiple categories! 1st place ribs, 1st place pork, 4th place lamb and 6th place chicken. AND to top it off, they were named Grand Champions of the entire competition with an astounding score of 1,621!
We couldn’t be prouder to sponsor this team as they show the world how they #FeedYourWildSide on the grill.
In other big news, SKS received an invitation to the World Steak Competition in Fort Worth, Texas this October! They are well deserving of the recognition and we can’t wait to see what finger lickin’ recipes they come up with for the big comp!

Only the judges get to feast on Suck Knuckle’s delicious creations, so we make sure the hungry crowds are fed with plenty of jerky samples. Scroll down for a list of upcoming events where you can snag some jerky of your own!
